Vinyl Fabric Rolls: Independence III Full 30-Yard Rolls

Independence III Vinyl Material Specs

Every color in this collection shares the same construction, so once you've confirmed the vinyl material suits the job, choosing comes down to color. These figures come from the Enduratex product listings for this vinyl fabric:

• Content: 100% PVC face on a polyester/rayon backing, which controls how the vinyl material stretches around corners and seams.
• Size: 54 inches wide, 30 yards per roll, 1.02 mm thick, about 32 oz per linear yard.
• Durability: 100,000 Wyzenbeek double rubs for abrasion resistance, plus a cold crack rating of -10°F.
• Flammability: tested to TB 117-2013 Section 1, UFAC Class 1, NFPA 260, and BIFMA Class A, made without flame retardant additives.
• Other: CFFA-Healthcare-201 certified, UV stabilized pigments rated 300 hours minimum, and no antimicrobial additives.

At that weight, the vinyl material has a firm, durable hand that's more puncture resistant and tear resistant than thin decorative vinyl fabric. The surface has a textured finish rather than a smooth, glossy one.

Where Contract Vinyl Upholstery Holds Up Best

Enduratex lists automotive, general seating, healthcare, hospitality, office, residential, restaurant, and spa as suggested applications. In practice, contract vinyl upholstery earns its place on restaurant booths, bar stools, exam chairs, and the commercial seating in hotel lobbies and waiting rooms.

Healthcare facilities look for the CFFA-Healthcare-201 certification because it shows the vinyl material meets a healthcare upholstery standard. Residential customers create kitchen banquettes, headboards, and dining chairs with the same vinyl fabric, a durable, wipeable alternative to leather in homes with kids and pets.

Colors run from Snow White and Dove to Navy blue, Midnight Blue, Cosmos blue, Slate Escape blue, Turquoise, Long Horn orange, and reds like American Beauty, with tan, beige, and black in the color filter too. Pair new vinyl material with fresh upholstery foam when you redo seats, since a new cover over tired cushions won't wear evenly. Buying Rolls of Vinyl Fabric for Larger Projects

Why Wholesale Vinyl Fabric Buyers Choose Full Rolls

A full roll is the most direct way to buy vinyl fabric wholesale: one color, one continuous piece, no splicing across a booth run. Upholstery shops keep core colors in stock this way so they can quote restaurant and office work without waiting on cut yardage, and contractors order one roll per color when a project requires matching seat backs, booth faces, and stool tops.

Divide the roll price by 30 to get your per-yard cost, then compare it with the price of the same vinyl fabric sold by the yard and the yardage your project needs before you purchase. A dining chair seat typically takes a fraction of a yard, so one roll covers dozens of chairs. Measure one seat with its pull allowance and multiply before ordering. To compare more vinyl fabric options on the roll, look at Boltaflex vinyl by the roll, which adds vinyl fabric options in other grains.

Choosing the Right Vinyl Fabric for the Environment

Independence III is an indoor contract vinyl fabric, not marine vinyl. Marine vinyl fabric is manufactured with mildew inhibitors and heavier UV protection for boat upholstery, where salt water, moisture, and uv rays break down standard vinyl material. Independence III has no antimicrobial additives, so it isn't treated against mold or mildew the way marine grade vinyl is. Boats, RV interiors that sit in the sun, and outdoor furniture call for different stock.

Vinyl material often gets grouped with waterproof fabric because the PVC face doesn't absorb spills like woven upholstery, but staple holes and seams still let moisture reach the foam.

For cushions that live outdoors, shop our Marine Vinyl or outdoor furniture fabric collections, where marine vinyl fabric is built to protect against sun and spray. Clear vinyl fabric is another category: clear vinyl fabric, often sold double polished, covers windows and tables and may yellow without UV stabilizers. The best vinyl is the one matched to its exposure.

Cleaning and Proper Care for Vinyl Material

Most vinyl fabric cleans up with mild soap and warm water on a soft cloth, followed by a clean water rinse and a dry towel. Wipe dirt and spills early, since stains settle into the texture of a grained surface.

Skip harsh chemicals, solvent cleaners, and abrasive pads unless the manufacturers' cleaning guide allows them, because the wrong chemicals can dry out PVC and shorten its life. Proper care with a mild soap routine gives contract vinyl material long lasting performance in busy dining rooms.
