Hidden Creek Camo Vinyl for Boats, Blinds and Truck Seats

Marsh and Autumn are the same product printed in two camo designs, so you choose by where you hunt, not by performance. Both share this spec sheet:

• Finished width: 54 inches
• Weight: 33 oz per linear yard (+/- 2.25 oz)
• Thickness: 35 mils (+/- 4.0 mils)
• Abrasion resistance: no significant wear after 500,000 double rubs (Wyzenbeek, #8 cotton duck)
• Cold crack: -25°F
• Weathering: 1,000 hours WeatherOmeter
• Roll size: 30 linear yards

Each camo roll runs 30 linear yards, so order all the yardage for a project at one time. Panels from the same camo roll match more closely than yardage ordered weeks apart. One note on colors: screens won't show a perfect match, so order a sample first if Hidden Creek is new to you.

Marsh and Autumn Pattern Camouflage

Hidden Creek Marsh is a realistic marsh grass pattern camouflage, an ideal fit for duck boats, layout blinds and shoreline setups. Hidden Creek Autumn shows fall foliage and branches for timber, tree stands and late-season woods. Both patterns break up the outline of a seat, bench or blind so it blends into outdoor cover. Hidden Creek belongs to our Morbern marine vinyl lineup, so it sews and handles like the solid marine colors.

Camo Upholstery Fabric for Hunting and Outdoor Projects

Most camo upholstery fabric orders go toward outdoor gear that sits in a cold boat or truck cab all season.

Duck Boats, Blinds and Truck Seats

Recovering a worn boat seat is the most common project. If the frame and hinge still work, new camo vinyl over fresh foam usually costs less than a new seat. Blind benches, ATV and UTV seats, and car or truck seats are just as easy: pull the old cover, use it as your pattern, add seam allowance and cut new panels.

Cabin Furniture, Home Decor and Camo Crafts

The same vinyl is suitable for indoor projects. Bar stools, a cabin bench or a man cave chair are common camo home decor jobs, and the surface wipes clean with a damp cloth. Leftover yardage opens up easy possibilities for crafts like gun case trim and decoy bag panels. Sew with a heavy needle and bonded upholstery thread so stitches hold through thick seams.

Durability on the Water and in the Cold

Freezing mornings, wet decoys and long days in the blind make hunting season hard on even durable upholstery.

What the Hidden Creek Specs Mean

The -25°F cold crack rating is the temperature the vinyl can flex at without cracking, which matters when a seat sits in a frozen boat overnight. The 500,000 double rub figure comes from the Wyzenbeek test, where cotton duck cloth rubs across the surface, so it reflects wear from waders, dogs and gear. Sunlight is what fades a printed pattern, which is why UV resistance matters on any outdoor vinyl. The 1,000-hour WeatherOmeter rating comes from an accelerated test that simulates that exposure: a lab measure of durability, not a promise of a set lifespan.

Building a Seat That Holds Up

Foam that soaks up moisture stays wet under any cover, so marine builds usually use closed cell foam, which doesn't absorb water like open-cell foam. Wire-frame seats are typically fastened with hog rings, and on wood or plastic bases, stainless steel staples resist rust and won't streak the vinyl. Proper care extends the life of any printed vinyl: wipe off mud with mild soap and let the cover dry before storage.

Camo Upholstery Vinyl vs. Camo Truck Wraps

Many camo vinyl search results are wrap film, not upholstery material. A camo wrap is an adhesive-backed film printed with a pattern, thin and flexible enough to conform to complex shapes like car mirrors and bumpers. Sellers offer classic, Kryptek, digital and Mossy Oak patterns in gloss or matte finish, and film from makers like 3M is known for long-term durability and strong adhesion. Car and truck wraps are a cost-effective alternative to a custom camo paint job, and quality film shields a vehicle's original paint from scratches and UV fading, which helps preserve resale value.

How Camo Truck Wraps Go On

Wrap installs follow a set routine. Installers clean each panel with isopropyl alcohol, lay the film with firm squeegee strokes from the center outward and use controlled heat on curves and edges. They post-heat to the film maker's recommended temperature to lock adhesion, and the owner avoids harsh washing for 24 to 48 hours. Thin craft vinyl for decals works the same way and cuts on machines like Cricut for custom projects.

None of that applies to Hidden Creek, a 35-mil sewable vinyl made to be sat on. For truck wraps and decals, call a wrap shop. For seats, cushions and covers, Midwest Fabrics has the vinyl.
